WA GOVT – Energy Policy WA

LAUNCHING POWERINGWA. AUSTRALIA WIND ENERGY 2024.

The Challenge

Creative Hire partnered with the Western Australia Government’s Energy Policy WA to create a standout exhibition space for Australian Wind Energy 2024 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. This event, the largest of its kind in Australia and the APAC region, doubled in both size and attendee numbers this year, drawing 5,000 energy enthusiasts.

Having launched their new entity, PoweringWA, just days earlier, the WA Government required an engaging and informative space to launch PoweringWA and position the opportunities Western Australia’s energy transition presents for the industry. This was essential for them to forge strategic partnerships within the thriving Australian wind energy sector.

Solution

Creative Hire designed the PoweringWA exhibition stand by drawing inspiration from the cosmopolitan ‘New York’ design included in the stand upgrade range. This comprehensive, prepackaged solution provided everything necessary for a successful delivery and allowed easy customisation to align with Powering WA’s branding requirements. Moreover, this approach avoided the costs associated with transporting and storing the stand, a significant benefit given the potential expense of exhibiting in Melbourne when based in Western Australia. Constructed using Creative Hire’s beMatrix shell scheme, the stand also offered the added advantage of reusability and a reduced environmental footprint, thanks to beMatrix’s recognition as the event industry’s first Climate Partner Certified Frame system.

The 36 sqm space featured two double arches and ample seating, creating inviting areas for attendees to engage with representatives and discover more about PoweringWA and its efforts to expedite the delivery of new electricity infrastructure. Creative Hire strategically organised the area to include three distinct seating zones along with a reception counter to provide multiple areas for conversation and networking.

Emphasised by strategic downlighting, the stand’s custom signage and brand colours were prominently displayed, vital for establishing the identity of this new entity. Two 43 inch and one 55-inch screens showcased further brand content and dynamic visual elements to attract and inform attendees. Additionally, integrated storage solutions helped maintain the sleek, clutter-free aesthetic of the space and completed the polished overall look.

Result

The partnership between Creative Hire and Energy Policy WA, led to the creation of an innovative modified version of the “New York” exhibition stand for Australia Wind Energy 2024.

The stand was designed to be both highly functional and visually striking, aiming to maximise branding opportunities and enhance the visibility of their new entity, PoweringWA. As a result, the exhibition stand became a central attraction, significantly boosting PoweringWA’s presence and increasing engagement activity at this leading industry event.
