Challenge
Creative Hire was engaged by ICMSA to bring the Sydney Water Infrastructure Pipeline & Supply Chain Expo 2026 to life at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse to life through a series of high-impact build elements that could match the scale and ambition of the event.
The challenge was to translate Sydney Water’s vision into a physical environment, one that didn’t just inform, but actively engaged. The event was designed to encourage conversations and working together to support resilient, sustainable and growing communities across Sydney, while understand the role they play in shaping the future of infrastructure.
To ensure delivery within tight timeframes, detailed planning and strict milestone deadlines were implemented, with key elements such as the stage set and registration completed at set times, supported by splitting crews into dedicated teams to efficiently track and manage progress throughout the day.
With 1,200 delegates and 100 exhibitors to explore through multiple zones, touchpoints, and sessions, the build needed to do more than look impressive. It had to guide flow, encourage interaction, and create a cohesive experience across the entire footprint.
Ultimately, the challenge lay in delivering a build that unified storytelling, functionality, and sustainability—ensuring every element worked together to elevate the attendee experience while supporting Sydney Water’s broader objectives.

Solution
Creative Hire delivered a cohesive suite of modular, sustainable build solutions for Sydney Water, designed to support both the scale and intent of the Infrastructure Pipeline & Supply Chain Expo 2026.
A range of purpose-built feature areas were created, including multiple tailored booths and meeting spaces —each tailored to different levels of engagement across the event. Central to the experience was a lounge bar and dedicated networking areas, all designed to encourage connection, conversation, and knowledge-sharing. Supporting elements such as the registration counter and large-scale floorplan map ensured seamless navigation and a smooth attendee journey from arrival through to exploration of the expo.
Creative Hire delivered a tailored 9x3m stand design for Doolan, blending visual impact with functionality. Key features included a 3D-lettered feature wall with a 65” TV, a living green wall, and flexible seating zones for meetings and networking. Modular design, planter boxes, and curated décor reinforced the brand with a polished, high-quality finish.
