PSASYD22 makes a stunning return
Challenge
The Pharmaceutical Society of Australia’s (PSA) annual meeting is the leading education and professional development conference for pharmacists.
Hosted in the stunning waterside location of Hyatt Regency in Sydney, the conference had not been held in-person for the past three years. This was a key consideration when collaborating with our client as the event had to make an impact from all aspects. This included the professional development workshops and speaker presentations through to the exhibitor program and social events.

Solution
The arrival experience was a critical touchpoint that PSA wanted to ensure created a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere. Creative Hire supplied the branded registration desk and welcome signage in a prominent location prior to entry of the exhibition to achieve this objective.
As delegates entered the pre-function area they were greeted by a striking 36sqm stand from PSA as well as a networking lounge. This inclusion demonstrated a strong brand presence as well as providing an educational and engaging meeting hub for delegates. For the PSA stand itself, Creative Hire created bespoke wooden paneling for the counter along with branded corner pillars to segment the stand into casual meeting zones whilst keeping an inviting and open stand design.
The exhibition spanned across the pre-function space and Maritime Ballroom which Creative Hire provided guidance and expertise in floor plan design. Additionally, the conference had shown a rise in exhibitor and delegate registrations which Creative Hire collaborated closely with PSA to maximise the room allocation.

For the main exhibition hall, Creative Hire were tasked to deliver 30 displays, with a mix of shell scheme system and custom hire elements. Seamless and elegant in design, the new ‘Eclipse’ panel walling system was used to integrate perfectly into the Luna shell scheme range and offer exhibitors an elevated finish.
The combination of the Luna shell scheme and Eclipse walling system was the perfect choice for PSA as they offered a premium look with the versatility to accommodate printed graphics on either fabric or board substrates. The modular system is also easily assembled which allowed for efficient installation and provided cost efficiencies for the overall conference budget.
For the premium custom displays, Creative Hire worked with exhibitors to achieve a bespoke look each complete with custom colours to make their brand stand out on the exhibition floor. Our team provided guidance to exhibitors on the use of printed graphics, walling, flooring, lighting, TVs, power, greenery, counters and furniture packages to complete their space.
Result
PSA22 brought together hundreds of Australian pharmacists to examine the current challenges effecting pharmacy care as well as further their professional development and network with industry colleagues.
PSA were delighted to host the annual flagship conference again and offer exhibitors a range of exhibitor booth options that were versatile and cost effective whilst not compromising on quality or premium design.
Our client applauded the Creative Hire team on their high level of detail and event partner support to create a show stopping and memorable event for their delegates.
PSA National President Dr Fei Sim said the conference was a great opportunity for pharmacists to come together, face to face after three years.
Our team understood the importance of transforming the event space to deliver a flawless conference experience as the professional industry had not come together since 2019.
Planning for the 2023 conference is already underway and Creative Hire are in the process of collaborating with PSA on ways to elevate, engage and excite delegates in new a way for next year’s event.
“Pharmacists played a significant role in the health and wellbeing of Australians, having been on the front lines of the COVID-19 response, and delivering more than 8 million COVID-19 vaccination doses to date.
PSA22 has been a great opportunity for pharmacists from all around Australia to reconnect and celebrate what makes our profession great. It is so valuable to come together, share our experiences as pharmacists from a range of settings, and learn from one another”
Dr Fei Sim, PSA National President
