Challenge
Celebrating its 40th year, the Catholic Education Business Administrators Conference (CEBA) 2024 was hosted at The Gallery in the ICC Sydney from 2 – 4th October 2024. In partnership with ICMS Australasia, Creative Hire was tasked with delivering a visually striking and highly functional event space, ensuring a seamless experience.
The challenge lay in creating a welcoming environment that balanced sophisticated aesthetics and practical functionality for the 57 exhibitor stands, all while maximising the venue’s available space and maintaining high-quality execution within tight deadlines.

Solution
Creative Hire designed and delivered key elements for the CEBA event that seamlessly combined style and functionality. The Gallery floor space within the ICC Sydney was carefully optimised to accommodate 57 exhibitor stands while maintaining an open and engaging layout. Creative Hire provided 52 shell scheme booths, delivering a professional and consistent display for exhibitors. Additionally, five silver and one gold stand upgrade offered enhanced branding opportunities, maximising exhibitor visibility.
The 6m-long registration area served as a professional first point of contact for attendees. Built using Creative Hire’s beMatrix system, it featured a fully enclosed back wall with a fitted door for secure storage. The beMatrix frame, constructed from 78.5% recycled aluminium, is the event industry’s first Climate Partner-certified system, making it a natural choice for aligning with event sustainability goals. Strategically placed trestle tables offered convenient swag storage and giveaway distribution, ensuring smooth attendee interactions and back wall graphics, illuminated by arm lighting, completed the polished look.
The impressive dual archway created a stylish networking lounge that encouraged engagement and conversation among attendees. The space featured four inviting lounge settings with ottomans, rattan coffee tables and an abundance of lush greenery, enhancing the relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere. The sleek, CEBA-branded arch, adorned with 3mm acrylic panel signage and illuminated by arm lights, ensured high visibility and contributed to the open, airy feel of the space.
