DEECA and Solar Victoria at All Energy 24.
Challenge
Creative Hire partnered with the Victorian Government’s Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) to deliver a joint 6x9m stand for the DEECA Energy Group and Solar Victoria.
The challenge lay in designing a shared space that allowed both entities to effectively showcase their distinct brands and initiatives, while also maintaining a connection between the two. The stand also needed to reflect the Victorian Government’s sustainability, local employment and economic contribution commitments, facilitate engagement amongst attendees and industry professionals for All Energy Australia at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC).

Solution
Creative Hire developed a design concept tailored specifically for DEECA Energy Group and Solar Victoria using their reusable beMatrix system, the event industry’s first climate partner-certified frame made from 78.5% recycled aluminium. This innovative system underscored the Victorian Government’s dedication to sustainability materials and processes while enabling exceptional design flexibility that allowed feature pieces from Creative Hire’s range to be incorporated into the design.
The layout was strategically planned to ensure both DEECA Energy Group and Solar Victoria could effectively share the space, providing a seamless blend of collaboration and individuality. The stand’s polished execution attracted significant interest, reinforcing the Victorian State Government’s presence and their commitment to a greener future. A central wall with integrated 65-inch screens on both sides was defined the dual zones, serving as an effective divider while providing a platform for engaging digital content. Signage opportunities were maximised throughout the stand, including overhead rigging which also clearly delineated the two areas and enhanced brand visibility.
In terms of functionality, Creative Hire integrated lockable storage solutions into each booth’s counter space, allowing exhibitors to securely store items while keeping their areas tidy throughout the show. A central storage area, accessible from both sides, was incorporated through the middle of each stand, further enhancing practicality. Wall-mounted shelving and custom-built hutches were designed to meet the specific display needs of each exhibitor, allowing them to showcase their products effectively.
Lighting played a key role in creating inviting semi-private meeting spaces, with downlights highlighting bar-height tables and seating. Functional storage areas were allocated to each entity, including shelving to maintain an organised space throughout the show.
Result
The Victorian Government were thoroughly impressed with the successful delivery of this engaging and functional space that met the unique needs of both DEECA Energy Group and Solar Victoria. Creative Hire’s innovative design fostered meaningful interactions with attendees while showcasing the Victorian Government’s leadership in sustainability and renewable energy.
