BRIEF
Creative Hire were successful in their bid to design, produce, freight, and installand supply an exhibition stand for the ACT Government at the annual Military Communications and Information Systems Expo (MilCIS) 2018. MilCIS is an annual show held at the National Convention Centre, Canberra, with over 3000 participants from 22 countries. The ACT Government’s brief included the creation of a 90sqm (6m x 15m) exhibition stand, designed as a shared space for co-exhibitors from at least 8 businesses.

CHALLENGE
Creative Hire developed two design options, both requiring careful consideration of functional and aesthetic requirements, whilst still being cost-effective. We addressed these requirements by:
- BlendingPairing together components from our extensive hire inventory, along with select custom made pieces.
- Using of graphics to tie individual elements of the stand together, including on-brand printed flooring including floor and striking wall graphics.
- Incorporating a large overhead rigged ‘cube’ into the design for long-distance visibility to create presence and attract attention.
Once the ACT Government selected their choice of design, we collaborated closely with their team to refine the design and finalise major components of the build. worked with them to finalise the solution, collaborating on Frequent feedback and updates on additional requirements was essential to optimise the stand’s use of for the space.
RESULT
Creative Hire managed the project from start to finish, with one dedicated account manager overseeing all elements. The display underwent a ‘test assembly’ at our Sydney production facility, where the client had the opportunity to see the build before the show. We then packed and transported the display to Canberra, ready for installation.
As with every project, our highly qualified installation team provided an extensive on-site handover with our clients and their on-site team, as well as remaining on-call close by throughout the event should any issues arise. The outcome was a premium looking stand that attracted a lot of attention, delivered within budget to a happy and satisfied client.
