Creative Hire wins ‘NSW Exhibition of the Year’ for AWS Summit Sydney 2023

Creative Hire have been crowned the MEA NSW Exhibition of the Year Award Winners for a second consecutive year.

Creative Hire has won the coveted ‘NSW Exhibition of the Year’ Award at the Meetings and Events Australia (MEA) Awards for Excellence for their exceptional delivery of the AWS Summit Sydney 2023. The awards ceremony was held at PARKROYAL Darling Harbour this week, attended by MEA members and industry professionals.

MEA’s National Awards program is the most prestigious and highly regarded event industry Awards program in Australia. The Awards recognise outstanding achievements in creativity and impact for events held within Australia over a 12 month period.

The AWS Summit is an annual flagship event for Amazon Web Services, bringing together the global cloud computing community across more than 30 countries for a free exhibition and conference. For the Sydney Summit, Creative Hire collaborated with experiential agency, Imagination, to create and execute the Partner and Solutions Expo as the preferred exhibition build and connectivity partner for exhibitors.

The Sydney exhibition was a major milestone for AWS as this was the first in-person event within the AWS cloud ecosystem since 2019. The pressure was on to deliver and the Creative Hire project team took on the planning and execution of AWS Summit Sydney, with a ripper burst of energy, creativity and attention to detail”

The AWS Summit is as a pivotal platform for technologists to connect, collaborate and advance their knowledge of AWS products and services, with a focus on fostering global community engagement. The Summit attracts a diverse range of attendees including developers, IT leaders, executives and sales & marketing professionals to participate in over 50 educational sessions along with an exhibition showcase to explore AWS products and services.

Creative Hire managed the entire event delivery process for the Partner and Solutions Expo from initial brief and floor plans, through to stand design and graphics, furniture and audio-visual product hire, event signage, venue liaison, freight, local subcontractors and installation. Each stand featured essential elements such as lockable storage, custom logo graphics, screens, furniture packages and raised flooring. Exhibitors could further customise configurations to workstations or lounge settings with integrated shelving and optional add-ons including laminate finishes, lightbox signage, greenery and décor accessories.
