Digitalisation, Sustainability and Internal Management: Key insights from the UFI Global Barometer Report

The Global Barometer is a bi-annual report on industry developments within the exhibitions world. The first edition of the UFI Global Exhibition Barometer was launched as a response to the 2008 global financial crisis, and this latest edition builds on those released over the past 2 years to create an overall assessment of the impact of another global crisis – the COVID-19 pandemic – on the exhibition industry, as well as providing projections for the future.

This study is based on a global survey, concluded in January 2023. It represents up-to-date information on the development and outlook of the global exhibition industry as well as on 21 markets and regions. Overall, the report suggests that event planners, conference organisers, and marketing managers can expect the exhibition industry to continue its path towards recovery in 2023, and it’s vital to focus on issues like digitalisation, sustainability, and internal management challenges to stay competitive.
